Exide workers today voted to continue their industrial campaign into 2010 as management still considers that they are worth nothing.

AWU members employed at Exide Technologies voted unamously to continue the fight against the companies proposed wage freeze. The company has not moved from a position of 0% wage increases for the life of the new agreement even though executives and senior management have received their yearly bonuses.
'Considering that this company has recently won several new contracts, including the supply of batteries for the new Holden Cruse, it is surprising that they continue to tell their blue collar workforce that they are worth zilch' said Frank Mateos.
Members remain resolute in their commitment to their industrial campaign for a reasonable outcome.
